Rants and Raves of a “Cute but Psycho” Mom

I was watching tv and there were people being questioned about music videos. These were people from random tv shows that were being asked, and also 2 hooters girls ?? I was wondering why they were even on the show and what relevance they had being questioned?
Celebrities….and hooters girls ?

Its like they are being praised for having a degrading job. Very confusing to me. I just dont see a good reason to glorify that controversial restaurant that is insulting to many women.

What is it about being a Hooters girl that is so special? I wonder do these women really enjoy being exploited, degraded, and treated as a sex object? Or are they so naive, that they only think of it as being sexy?
Sexy to me is very different than being objectified.

A lot of people say, “they aren’t degraded because they have a choice to work there or not” well, thats a stupid statement (IMO) because just because someone chooses to work there doesnt mean squat in this situation. It just means they are “choosing” to degrade themselves and women in general. You can do that you know……

Is that what women have to do now to feel sexy? The most depressing thing to me is the women out there that take these jobs. They come off as flirty airheads, that play the dumb blonde showing off their assets.

Does a woman have to be stupid and clueless to be considered sexy?  Obviously there is praise and positive reinforcement for this behavior because there is no shortage of these type of women who want this job. 
It’s pretty easy when I think of it;

Dress up in tacky clothes consisting of a bad 70’s jazzercise outfit,
push up bra,
then act stupid.
What is so great about that?

I think there are plenty of women out there that are sexy as hell and SMART who have established themselves and have not lowered themselves to take a job like HOOTERS. Why are there so many women out there that make bad choices. Why can’t the influence to be more successful be more powerful than the influence to be a dumb waitress at HO-ville HOOTERS.
